Well. . .the Halloween show is running. There is a ton of tweaking left to do, but lights are at least flashing to some sort of sequence. 🥴 You know that first blog when I mentioned all the improvements I wanted to make to this year’s show. . .I so wish I would have said no to the improvements. But all of you understand that feeling you get when you complete something special to you – I at least have that feeling if only for a moment.
Below is an amateur time lapse video of me putting up the different show elements. I think it was good for my family to see how much they helped me through the process. 😉

There are going to be more changes coming soon to enhance your safety and experience and I will write about those in an upcoming blog. However, if you are able to come by – my prayer is that just for a few moments – you and your family or friends will enjoy a little time together singing and enjoying the holidays.
Below is a small portion of Disney Villains.
Closing Thoughts
As I reflect on all the work we put in this past weekend, the dedication to get everything done, and then the relief that came from having it complete – I was reminded to have a bit of perspective. I thought about how Noah must have felt when he finally completed the Ark. Then Joseph, what relief he must have had when he got the final preparations done after the seven years of plenty so Egypt would be ready for the seven years of famine. I started considering all the different Bible characters who accomplished much greater things than putting together a Holiday light show.
But then I started thinking about all of us, and I considered Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4:6-8:
6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
Yes, I am relieved, happy, and thankful that the Halloween show is complete, but this is obviously nothing to the relief, happiness, and thankfulness I will have when my time here is done and my eternity with God begins. That preparation is a job I hope we all finish on time.
Thanks for taking a moment to read this blog and supporting us as we continue Fostering the Holidays.
